alternatively: my lyndis wig just came in! much thanks to the people who helped me pick out the colour — the ocean green is spot on!! i couldn’t be happier with this shade of green *A*

both the base and the ponytail are from arda — the base is a lulu. i have quite a bit of styling to do on both the base wig and on the ponytail clip, but it should be fun! i’ll worry about that when it gets closer to con time, though.

thank christ i have experience with these obnoxious clip-in ponytails (thanks, neru) — i’ll be picking up some puddy tomorrow so i can keep it from tangling *A*

Lyndis: Fire Emblem

Now if you have ever played Fire Emblem on the Gameboy Advanced, you know why Lyndis, or Lyn, made this list. From the start she is a strong character, but as soon as you get the Mani Katti, her unique katana, things get real. Her crit rate skyrockets, and she becomes one of the characters who you know will get work done. She teams up with Eliwood and Hector later in the game, and while Eliwood is slightly mediocre combat wise, Hector is another complete powerhouse. However, I chose Lyn for not only her killing ability, but also her character traits. She is elegant, royal, graceful, kind, and caring, all while being an absolute killing machine when the time calls for action.

Late in the game she upgrades into a Blade Lord. This is when things become really incredible. Her critical chance becomes legendary, her dodge rate is fantastic, her damage is boosted, and she gains the ability to use bows. She becomes a virtual one woman army. Fire Emblem can be a brutal game, especially because your fallen comrades never return. The fact that Lyn’s death ends the game is a testament to how great a character she is.
